The Under secretary of the US ,South Asia and East Asia Paul Kapoor has exchanged views with Foreign minister, Int’l affairs advisor to the PM ,Home minister and other high ranking officials of the government. He also met the opposition members as well . He has expressed deepest gratitude to the government for the continuous warmest bi-relations with Bangladesh.He stressed on the development of mutual relations based on global energy security interests. He also urged the leaders to get united for the greater good and security interests of the Indo-Pacific. He along with his US ambassador in Bangladesh paid courtesy homage to the graveyard of Khaled Zia & Ziaur Rahman. Due to the US- Israel and Iran conflict, the countries in the Middle east have been at loggerheads on the Iran issue. Bangladesh, being one of the most important strategic nation of the Indo-Pacific seems taking a neutral stand on the crisis, sources say these raised diplomatic efforts.
