Today on March 2, Ambassador Yao Wen paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh’s Minister of Health and Family Welfare, H.E. Sardar Md. Sakhawat Husain, and State Minister of Health and Family Welfare H.E. Muhit. The two sides held in-depth discussions on further deepening China-Bangladesh cooperation in the field of healthcare.
Ambassador Yao congratulated Minister Hussain and State Minister MA Muhit on assuming their new posts. He noted that health cooperation, which directly benefits people’s livelihoods, is an important component of China-Bangladesh relations. China supports the new government of Bangladesh in its efforts to improve healthcare standards and advance reforms toward universal health coverage. China stands ready to continue strengthening experience-sharing with Bangladesh, deepen practical cooperation, and elevate bilateral health collaboration to a new level.
The Bangladesh side extended its appreciation to Ambassador Yao for his congratulations and expressed their appreciation for China’s long-standing and strong support for Bangladesh’s health sector. They stated that Bangladesh looks forward to further learning from China’s experience in advancing healthcare development under Chinese modernization, deepening technical exchanges and friendly cooperation, and enabling the friendship between the two countries to benefit more people.
