Today the Prime Minister urged the concerned authorities to keep the athletes out of the political pressures, participations & all kinds of affiliations with any political party, organisation or association. Today while inaugrating ceremony of providing remunerations and benefits to national players at Shapla Hall of the Prime Minister’s Office, he addressed it to all.
“It is imperative that the sportsmen be more professional, patriotic & persevering.” the Prime Minister Tarique Rahman said.
During the Program, the Sports minister Aminul Haq, SAFF winning athlete and veteran Footballer attended along with other sportsmen such Cricketer Tamim Iqbal, existing Footballers and All national players.
Prime Minister urged everyone to keep the sports sector fully professional, non-political and people’s friendly. Prime Minister awarded sportsmen and women with medals and inaugurated online bank based salary and benefit giving system. The concerned authorities highly appreciated the initiative taken by the govt for the welfare and professionalism of the players.
