The previous Interim Government led by Dr Mohammad Yunus formed National consensus Commission for a greater unity among all parties of the country. They came to terms on numerous national issues. However, with regard to Upper house and its significance remains quite unclear. The existing govt of BNP, under the leadership of Salahuddin Ahmed, committed to form Upper house as per the consents of winning party and the election manifesto of the respective one. Jamaat also gave note of dissents and so is NCP. Ultimately, the word of consensus still remains a challenging aspect for us. After the election, now little hope can be seen as no big change will come out except keeping one man the head of government more than two times.Home Minister Salahuddin yesterday told the house, he is representing the Prime minister and wants each and every single words of July charter to be followed without Note of dissents.
Despite all rising discontents, it is still a big accomplishment that few parties have have disagreed on the question of July charter and its recommendations.
