The central leadership of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh ( DAB) has issued a press statement calling upon the people of all walks of life to participate in the nation-wide Measles vaccine campaign scheduled to be initiated from the 5th April 2026 onwards. Children aged 6 to 10 have to be vaccinated in the health campaigns and hospitals all around the Country. President of DAB Dr Harun al Rashid, General Secretary Dr Zahirul Islam Shakil, Treasurer Dr Mehedi Hasan and office secretary Dr Erfan Ahmed Shohel of the central DAB provided the press release on behalf of all doctors,health workers and the government.
Measles has created extreme panics in the rural areas,however, it comes with a relief that the government has spend huge sums to buy vaccines from the UNICEF and it is imperative that this campaign be a success for the already drained & fragile health sector of the country.
