BNP wins hearts of Jamaat alliance : Election ’26

After 16 years of disenfranchisement, people in Bangladesh, for the first time, have voted freely and an election has been held as per the wills of all. There have been reports of “Engineering” like slow counting, declaration changes and a lot more changes. However, people have adopted & accepted votes to be outside big controversy. BNP has achieved more than 46% votes with 200+ seats, Jamaat Alliance has achieved around 44% votes with 78 seats. More than 60% voters voted for Yes referendum of July charter. Tomorrow, after winning, Tareq Rahman, will meet Dr Shafiqur Rahman and Nahid Islam to welcome them towards a new begining. A press conference has been held and a new cabinet is underway amid diverse applications for recounts of votes and allegations of rigging . Three Jammat men have been killed and countless others attacked for voting their chosen candidates. DUCSU leaders have urged Tareq Rahman to stop his men across country to avoid such heinous attacks. After all, this election has been a milestone for all who aspired free,fair,credible and participatory election in place.
