Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. AKM Shamsul Islam ( Surjo) ,a bright and patrotic nationalist Army officer , has been appointed by the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) as the new Chief Security Officer (CSO) for both Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and Chairperson Khaleda Zia. CSO will look into increased security for two prime individuals , particularly with Tarique Rahman’s return to Bangladesh on 25 th December 2025 with bulletproof vehicles, multi-layered security teams, and cooperation with law enforcement agencies on all fronts .
