The political landscape of Bangladesh has radically shifted after the 5 th August in Bangladesh due to intense social media influences and motivations to the Gen Z. Pinaki Bhattacharya , a France exiled medical doctor with degree in Economics and marketing has drawn widespread attention all acorss the country and beyond. He comes from a classical communist party leadership. He was the GS of Rajshahi medical college. He was a key figure of 2013 Shahbagh movement against the Hefajot-e-Islam. After some years , his 360 degree radical shift towards his former enemies stunnned the leftists. Now, there is a saying that he along with Elias and Kanak created a meticoulous design to topple the Hasina regime with the help of other rightist elements.
Social media trio taking over the mainstream narrative
The reality on the ground is actually quite daunting. Elias Hossain, a former Journalist of Ekhusey and Bangla vision turned into an iconice figure against the Fascist Hasina through his extremely poular episodes called 15 mins. Kanak sarwar also started his outcry against Hasina since 2009 BDR carnage. These figures surpassed Shahed Alam , Monir Haider, Zulkarnain Saer and multiple other social media activists and youtubers on content popularity. They have been a big voice for quick changes in ravoultionary interim government. However, they have come a stark contrast with the IG on range of issues, particualry with regard to the Daily Star and the Protom Alo controversary. These three have been the key figures on anti-aggression forces in Bangladesh and many believe that they have taken over the mainstream narrative of the common mass . Hope, this trio will get more decisive on strategic moves of the mass as their narrative may need more explanations from their sides ; they must find a common ground with the “enimes” and start free, fair and constructive dialougue.
