BNP’s new Chairman Tarique Rahman has formally met with journalists at a party-organized event in a hotel in Dhaka in which he has surprised everyone with totally different narrative. In response to Mahmudur Rahman’s speech Tarique said, ” I was physically absent from Bangladesh, however, I still have your blood-strained face and shirt in my heart and mind.”
Editors of almost all dailies like the Amar desh, Naya diganta and the Sangram were present and it was welcomed by all as highly integrative one. After he arrived at the program, Tarique himself approached all the journalists and shook hands with soft smiles and impressing all.
The secretary General of BNP also thanked all the editors and recalled their legacy during the Fascist regime.
Tarique got back home on Dec 25 after spending around 17 years in exile in the United Kingdom. Five days later, his mother and former prime minister Khaleda Zia left all in remorse. Tarique has taken role as Chairman as per the party’s charter after the demise of his mother,
