CA visits the July Museum alongside National leaders

Chief Advisor Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus evaluated the progress of the final phase of the July Uprising Memorial Museum at Ganabhaban this afternoon on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

The chief advisor arrived at the museum around 3 PM on Tuesday and explored the exhibits detailing the history of the July Uprising and the 16-year reign of terror under Sheikh Hasina. Present with the chief advisor were BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahammed, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, Jatiya Nagorik Party convener Nahid Islam, among others. The advisors in attendance included Cultural Advisor Mustafa Sarwar Farooqui, Legal Advisor Dr. Asif Nazrul, Public Administration Advisor Adilur Rahman Khan, Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, Health Advisor Nurjahan Begum, National Security Advisor Dr. Khalilur Rahman, SDG Coordinator Lamia Morshed, and the Secretary of the Ministry of Housing. Additionally, Sanjida Islam Tuli, coordinator of Mayer Daak, an organization representing families of the disappeared, along with Barrister Mir Ahmed bin Qasem Arman, a victim who returned from disappearance, and student leaders Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan and Hasnat Abdullah, who played pivotal roles during the July uprising, were also present.

Under the leadership of Cultural Advisor Mustafa Sarwar Farooqui, museum curators Tanjim Wahab, Marina Tabassum Khan, researchers from the July Museum, and other responsible individuals provided visitors with a comprehensive tour of the entire museum.

The July Memorial Museum houses a variety of materials, including photographs from the uprising, memorabilia, clothing of the martyrs, letters, significant documents, and much more. The museum will be accessible to the public immediately. It not only contains relics but also encompasses all data and documents related to the July movement.
