Among them was Salah Uddin Ahamed, a former Law alumnus from Dhaka University and a 7th BCS Cadre for several years, who ultimately became the most trusted associate or APS of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.He is widely Known to people in Chittagong simply as “APS Salahuddin Sir/bai/Uncle according to comfort zones of respective individuals who feel he resonates deepest empathy for his home,people & beyond. . It goes without saying that this ex-minister was abducted in March 2015 by RAB, the death squad force who almost made him undergo death like pains and he endured auch state for days.
He was later compelled to flee to India, and after nearly a decade of legal battles, he managed to return to Bangladesh. Currently, there are numerous unverified and sweeping claims regarding his time in India. Indeed, these myths were fabricated to undermine his popularity, as many anticipated his rise to the position of General Secretary of BNP and, eventually, Prime Minister of the country. Now, after the 5th of August, he is regarded as one of the leaders of national unity who could potentially become the head of state or government, and those who attempt to vilify him must recognize and observe his actions once he resumes such a prestigious role.
