Bangladesh after 16 years of extremely one sided foreign policy era,has been at a crossroads due to extreme wishes from the July and August revolutionaries , students and common protesters. Many diplomats used to think Bangladesh would gradually be another Puppet state of any particular regional hegemon and ultimately many witnessesed enforced disappearances,extra -judicial killings and all other state sponsored violent criminality as most important features of the then Hasina regime. Today, Ambassadors of India ,China and Pakistan have met Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed. Many say that this is due to the publication of the BDR carnage report which implicated India .Home Minister has urged his Indian counterpart Pranay Verma to stop any further killing in the borders of Bangladesh- India. Chinese ambassador has asserted his preparedness as the new Teesta river dam became a significant priority for them to start and India doesn’t want it to be started.This has been a real world challenging dilemma for a new political government.
