While inaugrating the canal digging programme at Kaharol, Dinajpur, the Prime Minister Tarique Rahaman told everyone, ‘We all belong to this land. We need to serve this country. This canal digging programme should be developing national economy and everything. I also recall my memories at Balo para here. It was my maternal grand parents’ residence. By the way, I think none is my enemy, everyone here is relative, even who did not vote for me, my party. We are a ubited nation. We need to build this nation Unitedly. ” The minister of local government Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and many more local and national leaders attended the canal digging. People in and around this area are known to be closeset to Begum Khaleda Zia’s family. The opposition leader Dr Shafiqur Rahman has applauded the initiative and his party leaders have the part and parcel of this initiative across the country.
