Lakshimpur-4 lawmaker Ashaf uddin Nizan yesterday impressed the whole nation at Parliament speaking on behalf of all the oppressed during the fascist regime through his call for a national unity against all the evils on the basis of mutual respect and dignity. He was taken to remand custody at the Motijeel police station for 19 days and was bloodied. His whole tunics and dress welcomed a bloodbath during the July movement of the people.
He told the house, “I see no difference between BNP and the opposition Jamaat. We all were inhumanly tortured during the last 16 years . He also demonstrated extreme respect to the chair of the PRESIDENCY but not the person who was appointed by the fascist Hasina regime. During the speech of the opposition whip Nahid Islam, who said the Mujib forces who fled India during the whole liberation war later on came to Bangladesh after the victory and killed many freedom fighters for opposing the one-party, one-leader dictatorship of Sheikh Mujib, who unfolded a new world of repression after the 1971. This is extremely concerning that some Mujib Force men still serve the government as lawmakers and are portraying themselves as the real forefront fighters.
