Journalists and authors this year have obeserved World press freedom day on 3 rd May with great respect and humility like all other countries of the world. Many are demonstraing pessimism at the arrest of the fascist enabler Journalists who have been behind bars since the aftermaths of the 5 th August. There is no doubt out of them some were less aggressive towards justifications of Hasina’s crimes, some others demonstrated their moves belligerently.
Shahriar Kabir, the coordinator of GADANIK, was accused of interrogating enforced disappearance victims and this has been well documented that he played his undercover role as a Journalist and demonstrated interests of another country and he used to lebel everyone as collaborators of 1971 Liberation of Bangladesh for opposing Hasina at all costs. This is also noticeable that Shymol Dutta and Mujammel Babu openly asked Hasina to continue her deadly operations Against all criticisms and setbacks.
Now, amidst the post- 12 election, the 16 years of oppressed parties themselves have been critics of each other and a group of misguided youths have been abusing deep fake pics and videos to abuse rights Against key leaders and make misunderstandings among one another.
Despite all these constraints, it is imperative that we all take decisive actions to boycott these fake photo cards, deep fake AI contents and make space for constructive political space of all actors.
